Hauswerks presents, ‘Ghetto Haus EP’, released on Viva Music. A three track progression of live samples, speeches, volcanic rhythms and throbbing vibrations assuring with a certain sureness of live power when the lights go off.

Maybe because of its somewhat experimental charm, but self-assured and sophisticated production, it highlights how much the experience of intimacy and affinity for something built so strong can change everything about how we listen to such an expanse and scope of music.

Gotta Get Out’, Always manages to bring the magic and intimacy of those cool, underground palaces for people to lose themselves right until the heat and energy leaves a permanent mark upon the forehead. Random sweeps of outside crowds, cheering something on, initiating the next step, cinematic and climactic, almost dangerous: all one big wave of euphoric emotion pulsating as the heavy pendulum swings from left to right in a ghetto of golden power. The commanding sample dictates the directions of clattering drums and cluttering rhythm, seductive and primitive vocals clearing the mist with menacing force, minimal, emotive and darker upon the entrance to the depths.

Ghetto Haus’, jumps through hoops with a highly melodic and elastic precision; it’s loose and free, but slightly demonic and urbanized; the inner city shines best when the music comes tight and compact but equally capable to unlock the padlocks that prevent motion of the body and soul.

Look at That Ass ’, comes across the more aggressive track, somewhat distorted, futuristic glitches, and static sounds inject force and adrenaline through ferocity a track airtight to the balls and backbone. The bass shakes, the stabs and slices of metallic sounds slash through any warrant to resist; with every pound and pulse and erupting warp of noise; the wall can most definitely be broken when dynamics come this slick and the flow radiates with provocative rigor.
