British Nightclub Donates Cloakroom Coats To Homeless

Sankeys nightclub will be having a clear out of their cloakroom this winter and donating the clothes to a homeless charity according to the Manchester Evening news. This will account for other 30 coat and jumpers that have not been claimed for over a month or more.

So if you've left an item in Sankeys' cloakroom it could well be aiding someone in dire need of warm clothing this winter, unless you are desperate for your favorite sweater you can go claim it before Monday.

James Turner the Sankeys general manager was inspired during a trip to the Manchester Christmas market where he was touched by the amount of homeless people having to bear the bracing cold.

Next week the coats will be taken over to Barnabus where they will be handed out to the homeless of Manchester, quite a noble act we must say.

Let's hope that this act of generosity can also influence other clubs around the country and even the world to find it in their heart to help the homeless this winter with a similar project.

Sankeys are planning a strong end to its 20th anniverary year - they welcome Steve Lawler’s VIVa Warriors on Boxing Day, Kerri Chandler and Move D take over Music is Love on New Year’s Eve, and Second City and Patrick Topping headline Covert’s New Year’s Day session .
