Video: Is This Berlin's Greatest Music Festival?

Berlin Atonal is a festival for sonic and visual art founded by the Tresor club owner Dimitri Hegemann in Berlin in 1982. Throughout the 80s the festival was at the forefront of the progressive electronic and experimental music scenes in Berlin until 1990. After with the fall of the Berlin Wall, Hegemann opened up the legendary Berlin clubbing institution Tresor.

Last year Berlin Atonal was relaunched at a new location - a massive abandoned powerplant in Berlin-Mitte.The re-launched festival featured exclusive performances from over 40 artists including Jon Hassell, Glenn Branca, Moritz von Oswald, Juan Atkins, Murcof and many, many more.

The 2014 edition was this summer in the same powerplant and as ever, experimental art and alternative electronic music was prevalent throughout. Check out the video below to catch a glimpse of the highlights of this unique festival and see who featured in this years line-up .
