Eerie Abandoned Barnes Hospital in Greater Manchester

Thursday, December 11, 2014 | Posted by: Tomorrowaudio

An eerie abandoned, mansion-like hospital in the Cheadle/Wythenshawe area, Greater Manchester is a perfect spot for a dark music video.

The Hospital once known as Barnes was closed down in 1999 and over the past 15 years it has been stripped, smashed and decorated by the local explorers, squatters and graffiti artists. The building was constructed by Manchester Royal Infirmary on the outskirts of industrial Manchester to occupy a more peaceful atmosphere to house convalescence patients in what was once a rural location.

Nowadays the creepy venue is rife with offensive graffiti, glass shards, death-traps in the form of broken down elevators and muggy old morgue tables that get one’s imagination set to horror mode. What ever your stance in on extra-terrestrial dimensions, this place has a cold atmosphere that can’t be ignored.
