Review: Till Von Sein & Tigerskin - Arkansas City EP

Wednesday, November 26, 2014 | Posted by: Tomorrowaudio

This forthcoming release on the mighty Dirt Crew Recordings could be set to cause a little bit of a stir in the coming months.

These Dirt Crew Recordings regulars set out to attack the dance floor again with this release, keeping it simple but effective. The opening track "Hey" with the classic 909 & 808 drum machines create pumping rhythms that feel new at the same time, entirely classic.

"Dance" the second track from the EP has a real rhythmic feeling to it, induced by the use of section the cowbell and  FX. As it becomes the lead sound of the track it carries the listener away, giving it a real sense of life.

Rich soulful vocals permeate the main track from the EP "Arkansas City" and have been modulated in such a way it gives the track ambiance yet warmth, with a signature deep heavy rolling bassline. I would regard this as a real stand out track for a DJ to play during a peak time set.

As always Till Von Sein & Tigerskin add a little funk in there EPs to round it all off and brighten things up as they have with "Real Talk". This track features some very subtlety layered strings which create an incredibly rich sound and are just a pleasure to listen to.

Available for Pre-Order From decks.de on a 12" vinyl here.
