Berlin based house connoisseur Sidney Charles releases this brilliant three track EP on Jaymo& Andy George’s label, Moda Black.
Following on from his appearance on the ‘Moda Black Vol. III’, Charles brings some Acid-tinged magic. The synth driven title track builds before erupting into some throwback heat, think Julio Bashmore and early morning shape shifting. The real highlight of the EP however, is in the second track ‘Warehouse Anthem’. This dark tech-house stormer does exactly what it says on the tin, forming a soundtrack to any warehouse rave. With hints of trance, this song makes you feel slightly nostalgic, as you get lost in the unstoppable energy he creates.
The final track ‘Hurricane’, featuring Edwin Starr vocal samples and some beautifully placed horn hits, is an undeniably groovy house track, which shouts sunset madness in Ibiza.
This expertly crafted EP covers all bases and continues Moda Black’s hold on the dance scene as they continue to put out some of the funkiest projects of the year.
