Shlomi Aber - Rear Gear EP (CADENZA)

Shlomi Aber debuts on Cadenza Lab in November with the 'Rear Gear' EP; two dancefloor-centric, drum heavy tracks designed to rumble the bassbins and cut a solid groove.

Aber has racked up an incredible catalogue of releases for some of the scene’s most respected imprints. Step forward Cocoon, Ovum, Renaissance, Objectivity, R&S and Desolat, all highly prolific labels who have plumped for a bit of Shlomi over the last few years. And so it is of no suprise that Cadenza Lab joins this list of revered labels, and welcomes Shlomi to the fold with his debut release for Luciano’s Cadenza sub-label.

Two new tracks then from Shlomi, and the title track ‘Rear Gear’ encapsulates his uncomplicated, drum heavy style to a tee. A thick and punchy club track with incessent brassy stabs, bouncing snares and precision 909 drums, Shlomi keeps it simple yet effective with subtle automation bringing the track alive.

‘We Don’t Fit’ completes the package, a bassbin rumbling groover, with Shlomi’s trademark vocal style adding the slightly twisted element to the music. Perfect dancefloor tackle, with its effectiveness taken from Shlomi’s knack of building and tweaking just the very basic elements to achieve maximum power.

With a nod perhaps to the Chicago trax of yesteryear, Shlomi presents a very polished version of those old Relief Records cuts from the mid-90s, all the while retaining his sound and style for the freshest and most discerning dancefloors currently out there.
